Uptown is one of the neighborhoods that gives Dallas its metropolitan feel and, as such, has earned a reputation as one of the more "high-brow" and trendy areas of town. Located just north of downtown, Uptown is a popular place for young professionals to both live and play.

Singles in their 20s often dominate the social scene along McKinney Avenue, but it’s mostly professionals on the other side of age 30 who have settled into the town-homes along the tree-lined roads farther north, closer to Knox Street.
