Top 5 Austin Restaurants

When it comes to food, Austin is a true gem. There are endless options for every type of eater, and the quality is always top-notch. If you're looking for the best of the best, look no further. Here are the five best restaurants in Austin.

1. Uchi

Uchi is a Japanese restaurant that offers both sushi and cooked dishes. The sushi is some of the best in town, and the cooked dishes are equally as delicious. The menu changes often, so there's always something new to try. The only downside to Uchi is that it's quite expensive. But, in my opinion, it's worth every penny. Having great restaurants like Uchi is one of the reasons why people choose to live in Bouldin Creek. After you give Uchi a try, don’t forget about their sister restaurant Uchiko in the Rosedale neighborhood.

2. L'Oca d'Oro

L'Oca d'Oro is an Italian restaurant that serves both traditional and modern dishes. The pasta is handmade and absolutely divine. The pizza is also fantastic. And, if you're looking for something a little different, they offer a variety of other great options as well. It's priced similarly to Uchi, but it's definitely worth it. Parents living in Mueller love having this as a go-to spot for their family outings!

3. Elizabeth Street Cafe

Elizabeth Street Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant that offers both traditional and fusion dishes. The pho is some of the best I've ever had, and the banh mi sandwiches are out of this world. They also have a great selection of desserts that are worth saving room for. It's more affordable than the first two restaurants on this list, making it a great option if you're looking to save some money. Did we mention this is why people love living in Bouldin Creek?

4. Caroline

Caroline may not make it on most ‘Best Places to Eat’ lists, but that’s what makes it such an amazing spot. Whether you want to rent out the upstairs for a private party or catch a lunch with some work colleagues, Caroline’s is underrated. Their tuna tacos are to die for and so are their Shishito peppers, not to mention their happy hour drinks and bites. As part of the Aloft hotel and smack in the middle of Downtown, Caroline is surprisingly accessible even when you expect a reservation is needed.

5. Polvos

Polvos is a local favorite for anyone looking for spicy margaritas, chips & salsa and amazing fajitas. What more can you ask for when taking friends from out-of-town to get some traditional interior Mexican cuisine in a traditional Mexican restaurant. With two locations, the original off South Lamar in Bouldin Creek and their newest one in Downtown. Do yourself a favor and order the Pork Adobado!
