About Circle C

Circle C is one of the premier master-planned communities in Austin and certainly one of the oldest. Planning started in 1983 and the first homes were built in 1987. Circle C is a residential neighborhood with mostly families, especially younger families with small children. There are also some retirees, empty nesters, and couples here.

Are Circle C Schools Good?

Public Schools

Circle C is zoned primarily to the Austin Independent School District (Austin ISD), although a few homes reside outside Travis County (those in the most southern sections of Avaña for example) and are routed to Hays Consolidated ISD unless approved for transfer. Austin ISD is the main school district that serves the greater Austin area with 116 schools and more than 74,000 students.

Some residents send their children to specialty schools, like Austin ISD’s L.A.S.A. (Liberal Arts and Science Academy).

Though some Austin ISD schools aren’t always the highest rated, Circle C is zoned to some of the best within the district.

Private Schools

The Circle C Lifestyle

Circle C is a family-friendly neighborhood with abundant green space and multiple options for outdoor recreation. Neighborhood amenities include a private, Olympic size swimming pool and a kids' pool, golf course, tennis club, and a 3.1-mile bike and rollerblading track known as the Veloway.

There is little to no public transportation in Circle C, so residents need a vehicle to get around. There is shopping and dining within walking distance for some residents.

Why You’ll Love Living in Circle C

The Homeowners Association is active and sponsors several annual events including an Easter Egg hunt, Fourth of July parade, and holiday lighting contest. The Circle C park is where you’ll spend your weekends if you have any kids or pets, whether it’s soccer practice, frisbee golf or a walk on one of the many trails. Catch a bite to eat at Torchy’s Tacos, Lil Doddy or Flora’s.

Get an adrenaline rush mountain biking through the many trails of the Cir C Ranch on Slaughter Creek. Head to the Veloway with your road bike for a care-free ride, and then take the family to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Circle C homes date from the 1980s to 2013. Houses range from 1,500 to over 4,000 square feet. As it is one of the most well-known neighborhoods in southwest Austin, home prices have been rising rapidly.
